Am I too selfish?
1. I am in mid 30s and maried for the last 7 years. My sexual desire went up by many folds after my daughter was born about five years back. But due to my husband's high profile job, he rarely gives me any time. He's on tour and we get sex maybe once in four to six months. This pushed me into grave depression. Because of his calousness about my problem, I wanted to divorce him. My brother-in-law and his wife knew about this well and they were very friendly to me. When they came to know about my decision, they tried to convince me not to do so. I had to ask them for sexual favour as an alternative. Realising my determination about divorce, they finally accepted me in their sexual life. For the last three years I am enjoying threesome with them almost every week. Recently, my brother-in-law took a new job which needs him to move to a faraway city. Though I am very happy about his new job and career, this also brought back memories of my old depression days and now I'm thinking of looking for a new partner as my husband is too busy with his career. I tried a lot to talk to him on this but he didn't give me enough time. He doesn't want to go to a counsellor either. I am now thinking of divorcing him. I know this will hurt my brother-in-law and his wife. But I cannot control my desire and I need someone to help me on this. Am I making any mistakes or am I too selfish?

2. I have a friend who is a white lady from US whom I have known for not so long time. Recently I ended up having sex with her. Few days ago I found that she is suffering from skin cancer. I am not sure about the details of the disease. She says it is not contagious but I am not sure and want to know if I would also have contracted Skin Cancer?

What is love?
1. I want to know what does this word love actually means. How can you find out whether you love a person or not. I'm a married lady with a kid. It's almost 4 years since we got married and I still don't know whether I love my husband or not. Maybe this feeling comes because I'm dependent on him due to my kid or may be because I'm used to him. I really don't know. I feel nothing for him when we are together in bed. I have to try very hard to excite myself and satisfy him. I don't know what is going on in my life. Is this normal? I'm really very confused. Please suggest what should I do? How to find out whether you love a person or not? Please help me out.

Reply From Dr. Prem Lata Chawla: That is a difficult question to ask. A large number of marriages are marriages of convenience and it is a fair enough arrangement for the human society to thrive. A general feeling of friendship between the husband and wife, sharing caring attitude and some amount of trust are enough to sustain the married relationship and it can be called 'love' as well. Sexual passion is just one aspect of it and a passionate relationship based on sexual excitement/attraction is not enough to sustain marriage, as all passions are transitory in nature.

Relief from black spots
2. I am a 28-year-old married man working in Gulf. My wife is 20 years old now. We are happy in our 3 years married life but there is a question in my mind all the times. My wife has a fair skin, but I have been observing black spots all around her vagina and thighs. I asked my wife to have medication for it. But she said that it may because she is fat and the reason of it is due to rubbing of both thighs in hot climate and there is no medication of it. I am not satisfied with her answer. Can you tell me the real reason of the problem and also the cure?

Reply From Dr. Prem Lata Chawla: Your wife is right about the black spots having been caused by constant rubbing of the thighs. However, she can see a skin specialist for prescription for some skin lightening creams or lotions.
