'Beau avoiding me'
1. I met a guy through my friend four months back. I found him fun-loving, nice and loving. So after two meetings we became friends. We exchanged our cell numbers but he is working in the other city so it's a long distance relationship. In these four months he told me that he loves me and also showed love and care by calling daily two three times. We met alone after two months when he came to meet his parents. In our third meeting, we made love. He again showed his love and care this time. I made a trip to visit him 20 days back and we had a good time. Nowadays, he has completely changed and he doesn't call me daily and says he is busy in his life. He's living alone and is independent since a very young age. He also said that it's not his a duty to call me every day and he will call when he gets time. He also added that he doesn't need to give explainations to me as I'm not his mother or a wife. He is blunt and sometimes really hurts me and my feelings. I don't know what to do. Have I made a mistake in making a physical relationship? Don't I deserve a little care? I wait daily for his call or message but I really don't know what to do. Should I also avoid him and take it easy? I expect a lot from him.

Well, you also enjoyed his company and sex. All your expectations are uncalled for. Why should he give up his freedom for you? It is true that you are neither his wife nor his mother. Sexual relationship does not automatically means commitment, lasting relationship or eventual marriage. So, you better get ahead with your life in whatever way you want it to go. You can spend a lifetime pining for him or settle down with another equally fun loving and nice person. There is no dearth of such men.

Menopause
2. It's learnt that women lose interest in sex after menopause. Does it become painful for them to have sex after menopause. If so, can you mention some ointments that can be used.

Reply From Dr. Prem Lata Chawla: Women do tend to lose interest in sex after menopause in case it becomes painful due to inadequate lubrication of vagina. Natural secretions of vagina after menopause are usually not sufficient and a lubricating cream or gel can be used. Your wife will have to go and see a gynaecologist to get a prescription for it.
