A blonde hair extension that British supermodel Kate Moss reportedly lost in Berlin is being auctioned on eBay to raise money for an anti-drug charity, the German press reported on Thursday. The Berliner Zeitung newspaper said Moss shed the hairpiece while trying to duck paparrazzi as she returned to the plush Hotel Adlon after a night out in the German capital earlier this month. Photographer John Farr told the newspaper he picked it up and has posted it on the Internet auction site on behalf of the German anti-drug charity Keine Macht den Drogen (No Power to Drugs). "I hope Kate doesn't mind. I did not have time to ask her because she was in quite a hurry," Farr told the newspaper.
Moss, 34, was in Berlin to promote her perfume Velvet Hour. At 12:30 p.m. (1030 GMT) Thursday, the item -- listed as "Kate Moss Haarteil Extensions" -- had attracted five bids, the highest being 25.50 euros (40 dollars, 20 pounds) plus shipping.
