Convinced that his wife had been unfaithful to him and the baby she gave birth to wasn't his, an inebriated man in a Himachal Pradesh village allegedly strangled the infant and hid her body in a heap of cow dung. The incident took place late Wednesday in Hunhera village in Chamba district, about 400 km from here. Police said Pawan Kumar and Uma Devi have two other children. Uma Devi and a midwife who tried to stop Kumar were injured. Kumar has been arrested.
