It seems that sexy pals-cum-lovers Helena Christensen and Josh Hartnett have called it quits after dating for almost a year, say friends of the duo.

Sources revealed that Christensen and Hartnett’s split occurred last week.

A New York Daily News report said that the friendly lovers were last spotted together shopping for furniture, mid-February, at Vitra in the Meatpacking District.

However, ever since Christensen was spotted dining with a girlfriend at the Waverly Inn without Hartnett, speculations about their break-up have been doing the rounds.

The iconic supermodel and the "30 Days of Night" star were first friends till the cupid struck in late spring 2007.

According to friends, Helena initially tried to set Josh up with Rosario Dawson, but he was bold enough to tell her that he would rather date her.

Representatives for the two stars did not comment.
