All’s not well in Bollywood and it has nothing to do with box office returns. Some of Tinseltown’s A-list stars have been slugging it out publicly — even on the sets of big budget movies — and do not appear in the least bit worried about the brawler reputations that they’re earning. HT City brings you the low-down on three big catfights that have got the Indian film world talking: Catfight: Priyanka Chopra vs Kangana Ranaut War was first to erupt between Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut about their roles in Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion. Priyanka was unhappy with the climax and had it changed, a move that didn’t sit well with Kangana, and led to a showdown between the two on the movie’s sets. Madhur Bhandarkar has faced too many controversies about Fashion to be bothered with this. “I am the filmmaker, role variation and climax are my decision. "I’m fed up of giving clarifications about the never-ending list of the speculations about the film. So just wait, watch the film, and then comment,” he says. Open hostility: Preity Zinta vs Shiney Ahuja Preity Zinta reportedly yelled at costar Shiney Ahuja on the sets of Jahnu Barua’s Har Pal because he hugged her too hard. But the friction was already there. Preity reportedly didn’t like his attitude, his unpunctuality and the fact that Shiney likes a lot of retakes. Jahnu Barua, director of Har Pal, fumes, “It’s an absolutely false story cooked up by the media. It’s unethical to portray the movie and the artists in bad light.” Fisticuffs: Upen Patel vs Ashwani Dhir Model and wannabe actor Upen Patel is supposed to have come to blows with Ashwani Dhir, director of One, Two, Three, for axeing his song and not informing him. Dhir laughs out loud when asked to clarify. “Nothing of the sort took place. I’ve just reduced the length of the song by half a minute. Also, I’m stronger than Upen so he can’t attack me,” he chuckles.
