Harry Potter Daniel Radcliffe’s much publicized racy shots in the theatre play Equus have won him an award for his naked torso. The 18-year-old actor swept away with two top theatre awards at Whatsonstage.com Theatregoers' Choice Awards, the only major theatre prizes decided by the public. Radcliffe walked away with ‘West End's Newcomer of the Year’ and the shot where he posed naked with a horse and a semi-clad co-star was named the ‘Theatre Event of the Year’. He described the role of troubled Alan Strang as one of the greatest experiences of his life. "I'm truly delighted and thank everyone so much for voting for me. Equus is a tremendous and thought-provoking play and I'm so proud and honoured to have been a part of this incredible production," Daily Snack quoted Radcliffe as saying. Hairspray, the play produced by Bill Taylor topped the awards with seven wins, including Best New Musical, Best Actor in a Musical for Michael Ball and Best Actress in a Musical for Leanne Jones.
