Adding 'Spice' to L'Oreal campaign

The Spice Girls are set to star in a multi-million pound advertising campaign for L'Oreal hair care.

Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Mel B, Geri Halliwell and Mel C are said to be in talks with L'Oreal to appear in adverts and billboards advertising the affordable range.

A source said: "They are back in a big, big way, and they're not going to stop at a tour. They are in talks to sign with L'Oreal, and have a lot of other things in the pipeline."

If the girls do sign with L'Oreal, they would be following in the footsteps of Eva Longoria, Penelope Cruz and Andie MacDowell, who have declared "Because I'm worth it!" in the famous adverts.

The Wannabe singers recently joined forces with supermarket giant Tesco to front their Christmas advertising campaign.

But the five-piece wouldn't be the only girl-band to become the 'locks' of a hair company. British group Girls Aloud signed a £1.25 million deal with Sunsilk, and appeared in adverts for the company.
