Britney Spears has applied for a new job – as a bartender.

TMZ reveals that the singer checked into the Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica hotel on Thursday, October 4, and once there got talking with a female bartender.

She told the bartender that she would love to try her hand at the profession and then proceeded to fill in an application from the night manager to work in the hotel's "Cameo Bar."

The celeb website says that the application is currently with Human Resources.

The Cameo Bar, as the hotel’s website states, "serves imported and California wines, premium well drinks and appetizers ... signature drinks include Blood Orange, Key Lime and Raspberry Lemon Drop martinis."

The singer recently lost custody of her kids to ex hubby Kevin Federline, with a court ordering her to undergo drug and alcohol testing if she wants them back.
