In a surprising incident, a mother chopped her two daughters into two pieces with a sickle in Kyara area of Bareilly According to Bareilly Cantonment police, the young woman Usha separated the head of her six-month-old daughter Suman with a sickle in a towering rage. Later, she also attacked her 4-year-old daughter Rajni. Watching her younger sister lying in a pool of blood, Rajni was surprised and terrified that her own mother had attacked her sister. She cried for help as Usha chased Rajni, grabbed her and hit at her neck continuously thereby separating her head from her body. Later, she pounced upon the other two daughters but spared their lives on the condition that they would not divulge the truth. Usha told the police that she was fed up with Banwari Singh, the maternal uncle of her husband Rakesh. Banwari, it is learnt, used to extort money from her for buying liquor. One day when Usha refused to give money to Banwari Singh, he allegedly abused her publicly calling her a prostitute and hit her. In the fit of anger, she hit Banwari with a sickle on his head. As the sickle was blunt, Banwari received only minor injury. When Banwari's kin came to know about the attack, they reached Usha's place about 8 in the evening. They threatened to kill her for having attacked a senior relative. Usha ran for her life and tried to commit suicide by jumping in a pond but as it was shallow she could not end her life.
