In what may be termed as a miracle of nature, a child who accidentally fell on railway tracks has survived except for minor scratch injuries. Railway authorities said that the child would have been reduced to pulp under normal circumstances. The authorities though have not been able to find how the child fell from the running train and how he came in between the tracks and not under the wheels. They say that even if a man falls from a running train away from the tracks he is bound to get hurt badly. According to railway authorities, the kid Rajpal fell from Haridwar-Delhi passenger train while it was passing through Jawalapur station. The gateman Sikandar saw something falling from a bogie of the running train but could not guess what it could be. When the train stopped he saw a child getting up and making efforts to sit. After examining him thoroughly, railway doctors found that the child has just got some minor scratches on his lower torso. The authorities were baffled to find that while the train ran over the child nothing happened to him as he lay between the tracks. Upon the inquiry, the railway authorities learnt that he was the son of Mahendra, a resident of Pawli. The young boy was unable to tell more about his address. As the train reached Luxar station, an announcement was made on the basis of message transmitted by the control room but no one came to claim the child.
